The commitment to excellence and the expertise gained over the years enable Elettra s.r.l. to provide comprehensive testing services, covering various conditions of use and transportation of electrical and electronic appliances.
VIBRATION AND SHOCK TESTING
Elettra s.r.l.'s laboratory is equipped to conduct vibration and shock tests in the frequency range of 2Hz to 3000Hz. The tests include:
Sinusoidal Vibrations: Elettra s.r.l. follows international standards such as IEC 60068-2-6 to ensure that appliances can withstand sinusoidal vibrations according to globally recognized standards.
Random Vibrations: Random vibration tests, also conducted in accordance with international standards like IEC 60068-2-6, allow for the evaluation of appliances' resistance to more realistic and varied vibrations.
Shock Testing: Elettra s.r.l. performs shock tests according to international standards like IEC 60068-2-27, assessing the ability of appliances to withstand sudden and intense impacts.
IP PROTECTION RATING TESTING
The laboratory specializes in testing the protection rating of enclosures according to EN 60529 standards. These tests assess an appliance's ability to resist ingress of solids and liquids, providing essential information for the design of devices intended for various environmental conditions. Elettra s.r.l. conducts tests for protection ratings X1, X2, X3, X4, X5, X6, X7, X8, as well as variants IP 1X, 2X, 3X, 4X, 5X, 6X.
CLIMATIC TESTING
Elettra s.r.l.'s laboratory is equipped with advanced climatic chambers for conducting hot, cold, and humid heat tests. These tests are performed in a temperature range from -40°C to +180°C with controlled humidity ranging from 5% to 99%. The goal is to assess the appliances' resistance to extreme environmental conditions.
SALT SPRAY CORROSION TESTING
Elettra s.r.l. also offers salt spray corrosion tests according to ASTM, ISO NSS, DIN, and IEC standards. These tests evaluate the materials' resistance to the corrosive effects of the environment, providing crucial information to ensure the durability and reliability of appliances in marine or corrosive conditions.
